Q2: How does the tracker find lost items if it’s out of range?

A: If your tracker is no longer within Bluetooth range of your phone, it can still be located using the crowd-sourced Find My Device network. Other Android devices nearby can securely and anonymously detect it and send its location to your account.

Q3: Can I ring the tracker to find it?

A: Yes. You can use the Find My Device app to make the tracker emit a sound, which helps you locate it when it’s nearby.

Q4: Is the ring volume loud?

A: The tracker emits an audible alert, but some users find the sound to be moderately quiet, especially in noisy environments. It works best indoors or in quieter locations.

Q5: Does it show the battery level?

A: Some users report that battery status may not be displayed clearly in the Find My Device app. However, the battery typically lasts 6 to 8 months, and it’s user-replaceable (CR2032 coin cell).

Q6: Can I view the tracker on the Find My Device website?

A: Currently, trackers like the MiTag Go may not appear on the web version of Find My Device. They are typically visible through the Find My Device mobile app only.

Q7: What happens if the tracker hasn’t been detected for several days?

A: If the tracker doesn’t connect to your phone or the network for about 7 days, it may stop appearing on your map until it’s re-detected.

Q8: Can someone else pair my lost MiTag to their phone?

A: Yes. If someone resets the device (usually by pressing the button a specific number of times), they can re-pair it to their own Google account. Be sure to mark it as “Lost” if it goes missing.

Q9: Does it support ultra-wideband (UWB) for precise tracking?

A: No. The MiLi MiTag Go does not have UWB hardware. It uses standard Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which offers proximity detection but not precise directional tracking.

Q10: Is it compatible with iPhone or Apple Find My?

A: No. This model is for Android only and does not work with Apple’s Find My network. If you want dual compatibility, you’ll need a different version, such as the MiTag Duo.
